On the first turn a Brigade of Confederate Cavalry, from Donelson's Div, rush to smash into the flanks of the "Green" troops from Webster's Brigade. |
On the Union's first turn Webster's Bde manages to turn to meet the oncoming Rebel Cav. |
After exchanging fire with little effect the Reb Cav road back behind the protection of their Inf. |
Meanwhile the Rebels started pushing forward from the centre. The Union 10th Division on the left under Jackson and the 3rd Div on the right under Rouseau moved up to meet the threat. |
With a Rebel Yell Anderson's Division comes over the wall to attack the Yankees. |
Shown from the Confederate view: Anderson and Donelson's Divisions put the squeeze on the Green Union troops from Jackson's 10th Div. |

Union turn begins with fire on Evans' Bde on Matthew's Hill. |
View from Union Brigade approaching Evans on Matthew's Hill. |
....and still closer |
The Union approached with one brigade in front and another coming in on the Rebels' left flank. |
After Evans was pushed from the Matthew's Hill more Rebs arrive on Henry House Hill. |
More troops from both sides arrive as Federals consolidate before crossing the creek to assault Henry House Hill . |
Feds begin moving toward creek |
The Crossing |
Union troops move in on the Rebs in the field. Rebs fire at the formation on the left and disrupt them. We used the yellow die to signify disrupted troops. |
The assault begins |
The Union cav ran off the Reb guns but became disrupted in the process |
The armies clash. The Rebs pull off some great dice rolling but the Union kept rolling ones and twos!! |
On the left the Union troops under Sherman ran off the under represented Rebs in the field. |
We started to run out of time and there was a bit of a stalemate on the hill top. |
On the left Union troops rushed a Confederate gun position in between the foot of the hill and the bridge. |
We ran out of time and had to pack up but we became familiar with the rules and the flow of the game was good. |
